Widening Circles, PC is a private, outpatient treatment practice in Asheville, NC founded in 2017 by friends and colleagues Ilona Csapo, MD; April Easter, LCMHCS, LCAS; and Kim Skelton, LCMHS, LCAS. Since that time, we have grown into a solid team of seasoned professionals working together as a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Widening Circles is a group of experienced providers specializing in providing intensive, highly-individualized, and integrative mental health and substance use disorder assessment and treatment services.

Our therapists are trauma-informed, competent professionals dually licensed to treat both mental health and substance use disorders. We often serve clients with co-occuring mental health and substance use concerns. Our collaborative, client-centered approach includes wrap-around psychiatry (specialty in addiction), individual, family and/or group psychotherapy, and coaching services. Program varies based on individual needs and client preference. Typical program includes five individual contacts per week with therapist and/or coach plus psychiatry. This is different from traditional IOPs which offer 9 hours of group therapy on a weekly basis. Widening Circles offers an individualized, alternative approach to intensive outpatient treatment.
